Examples of What We Mean
Desert SkyCams was approached by a geo-survey company that needed a last minute solution that could carry a low hanging sensor for longer than their current drone could handle while implementing the batteries they currently had. They also needed a longer range communication method and RTK navigation. They wanted to rent the configured drone for about 2 weeks.
The company purchased the parts needed and sent them to us.
We were able to make the changes to one of our quadcopters and after testing was completed we hand delivered the drone to the site and they were able to complete the project.
Starlink Integration for BVLOS Operations
One of our clients undertook a project in heavily vegitated and mountainous terrain where typical communication methods would not work.
The area also lacked any 4G/LTE coverage so traditional methods weren’t available.
We decided to use our large hexacopter and were able to mount a Starlink Mini unit to the top. With some more advanced methods (and a few headaches) we were able to provide video, telemetry, and control of the drone from the GCS through satellite internet.
Rental of the equipment was requested and the drone was shipped to the site using a custom made Pelican case.
